I saw a post on X about an Amish farmer who ships on ice nationwide. I decided to send this farm an email. I said I am interested in raw butter.
At 5:50am the next day my phone rang! A young man told me he was sorry he took so long getting back to me LOL
A week later my box arrived!
First. The yogurt. We ate both tubs up very quickly and it literally gave me a sense of wellbeing. Best plain yogurt I have EVER had.
Then, the raw milk cottage cheese! I haven't eaten cottage cheese in years but when the young Amish salesman mentioned they had this, said sure why not. So glad I did. I mixed this in with scrambled eggs and my son told me I should start a restaurant.
A pint of decadent heavy beautiful raw cream that made the most delicious vodka sauce. I got a silicone ice tray to save extra cream in the freezer.
And the butter, the while reason I contacted them. It's very hard to find raw butter.
Lastly, they sell Lyken Valley Creamery brand of packaged cheese which they do not make themselves but they carry the whole line. So you can look up what all Lykens makes and get it from Creamline Acres in the same box with your other stuff! My husband loves the "Baby Swiss" Lyken cheese and the prices are lower than Whole Foods.
Of course you do have to pay for shipping but overall, this is well worth the price!
A sticky note was in the box with a little Amish humor “Have a great day! Unless you have other plans”
- They take credit cards by phone
- They carry the full line of Lykens Valley Creamery cheeses
- They also sell goat and sheep milk
But don't be surprised when they call you before sunrise!
Farmer's statement: "Creamline Acres started with a vision to produce quality dairy products that appeal to the health conscious consumer. Today we have realized that vision by offering butter, milk and cream directly from our farm to your table. We're committed to giving the greatest care to our cows, our customers, and our land through regenerative farming. Regenerative farming is all about working with nature to constantly improve the animals and the land. It includes rotating our cows through fresh diverse pastures, letting their manure feed the soil, and watching the land grow richer and more alive each season! It’s an important and intention cycle of creating healthier grass to cows to milk to soil.
